The Hudson Valley will need to organize an event like the one started in Loudon County, VA last year called “Scrape for the Grape” to help control the Spotted Lantern Fly. The intiative in Virginia is a great template for the work that needs to be done in the Hudson Valley. It can be viewed here:

As far as we are aware, there is no similar event in the Hudson Valley at this time. The event in VA involved people gathering and searching for SLF eggs on trees and scraping them off with a card provided – Hence, “Scrape for the Grape”….Let’s get a discussion going on reddit.
